PhD-student with a background in cell biology/molecular biology - Salary group TV-L E13/2 (Kiel)

 

 
 
       

We are working on molecular mechanisms favoring the survival of residual leukemia cells in different niches. Achieving complete remission shortly after therapy initiation remains one of the strongest prognostic factors in childhood ALL. Therefore, understanding the biology of residual tumor cells can open new therapeutic options.

Job Description:
This particular project will focus on novel immunotherapeutic approaches targeting residual disease in infant leukemia.
Applicants may have a background in molecular cell biology or another related field and shall be able to work independently and in a team-oriented manner. Experience with tissue culture, FACS-analysis and -sorting as well as a strong background in molecular biological standard techniques and in vivo mouse models are a plus.
The position is funded for 2 years. Further funding is anticipated. Disabled applicants with the same qualifications will be given preference.
