The research group of Prof. Dr. Heike Bantel deals with cell death in hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal diseases.
A translational research focus lies in the identification of molecular mechanisms that determine the response to treatment of solid tumors, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, and enable the development of new therapeutic strategies.
