Our group investigates stem cell maintenance and neuronal differentiation at the interface of systems biology and bio-medical research. In particular we aim on gaining new insights in the complex processes that regulate neural stem cell functions.
The overall aim of our work is to make endogenously present adult neural stem cells applicable for therapeutic approaches aiming for the replacement of neurons that are lost during neurodegenerative diseases (in particular Parkinson’s disease)
Successful applicants should have a strong interest in Cell Biology and Neurobiology, especially experience in stem cell biology and affinity to computer based analysis methods would be a plus.
We are looking for highly motivated people who share our passion for research, are interested in acquiring new skills and wish to be part of an international team.
