The center of advanced european studies and research (caesar) is an Institute of the Max Planck Society dedicated to the Neurosciences, Cell Biology, and Biophysics. The Department of "Molecular Sensory Systems" studies the structure of ion channels and membrane receptors and their function in cellular signaling. For the project:
"High-resolution microscopy of germ-cell development in the testis"
we are offering a Ph.D. position (biologist, chemist, or physicist).
The project involves super-resolution microscopy, confocal microscopy, and electron microscopy to study the development of germ cells in the testis of mice. The focus will be on analyzing cytoskeletal structures under physiological and pathological conditions. You will work in a dynamic and motivated team embedded in the scientific community of the Max Planck Society and the universities of Bonn and Cologne.
