Postdoc Position Immunology/Allergology (Hannover)

The Hospital of the Medical School Hannover (MHH), Germany, is one of the largest and most competitive university hospitals in Germany and Europe. It harbors excellent research and education and provides patient care at the highest medical level with approximately 10.000 employees.The research group of Gesine Hansen belongs to the German Center of Lung Research (DZL) that closely connects clinical and basic Research in a consortium of five peumology sites in Germany.


The Department of Pediatric Pneumology,  Allergology and Neonatology (Director: Prof. Gesine Hansen) offers a
Postdoc Position
to study the mechanisms of early immune priming of allergy and asthma.


The Group has established together with other members of the DZL a  cohort of children and adults with asthma that will be part of the study. In parallel, different murine models of asthma, tolerance and perinatal immune priming as well as comprehensive modern techniques for immunological, molecular analysis are well established. The postdoc will be part of excellent scientific collaborations on the campus and in different national and international networks.

Our requirements:
Eligible candidates (m/f) should have experience with mouse models, immunological and molecular biological techniques, a strong motivation and team spirit. German language skills would be helpful, solid English skills written and spoken are mandatory. The successful candidate (m/f) should hold an above-average PhD degree in biological sciences or related fields and have experience with basic methods of molecular and cellular biology.
