The project is part of the collaborative research center “Plasticity and Sleep” (SFB 654).  The project focuses on the development and regulation of CD4 T cell memory and interacts with the Excellence Cluster “Inflammation at Interfaces” located in Borstel, Kiel, Luebeck and Ploen.

One of the main topics within the project will be the analysis of the T cell receptor repertoire by TCR sequencing using high throughput sequencing machines (NGS).  In addition, the project involves molecular-biological and immunological techniques mainly in mouse models (real-time PCR, FACS, ELISA, laser-microdissection, immunohistochemistry).  We offer excel-lent research facilities and a motivating work atmosphere.  Since the project is part of the SFB654 it offers broad opportunities for collaborations in various fields. Initially the position is for 2 years but might be extended.

We seek a highly motivated postdoc who likes to solve scientific questions in modern immunobiology.  Candidates must hold a PhD university degree in biology, biochemistry, medicine or a related discipline.  The applicant should be experienced or interested in high throughput se-quencing and in immunological approaches.

The University of Luebeck seeks to increase the percentage of female scientists and encour-ages female candidates to apply.  In cases of similar qualification, competence and specific achievements women will be considered in equal terms within the legal framework.  Handi-capped candidates with equal qualification will be given preference.

Applications (preferentially in electronic form) with curriculum vitae and copies of certificates should be sent not later than August 10th to:
