We are looking for a highly motivated NGS TECHNOLOGIST (junior or senior) to join the new Biomedical Sequencing Facility at the CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Medical University of Vienna. Candidates should have a strong practical background in molecular biology, high-throughput genomics and/or medical diagnostics with a focus on DNA-based assays and technologies. As we seek candidates both for a more junior position and for a more senior position, there is flexibility in terms of the level of academic qualification (e.g., MTA, Diploma, Master or PhD). The ideal candidate would have experience working in an environment that requires high levels of accuracy even under time pressure, and at the same time a problem-solver mindset and experience with developing and validating novel protocols. Experience with high-throughput methods such as next-generation sequencing, microarrays and/or laboratory robotics is a plus that should be highlighted in the application letter, but are not mandatory. Finally, given that CeMM works at the forefront of global biomedical research, intellectual curiosity, flexibility and dedication to science are major success factors for any candidate. Please submit cover letter, curriculum vitae, academic transcripts and contact details of three referees to application@cemm.at, and indicate the reference code in the subject line: "BSF Technician". Deadline for applications: 30 November 2012. For more information please visit our website www.cemm.at or download the following document: http://www.cemm.oeaw.ac.at/fileadmin/downloads/BSF_Technician.pdf
