PhD scholarship in Cancer Systems Biology : Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark

The Cancer Systems Biology group at the Department of Systems Biology is studying the role of DNA repair pathway aberrations in cancer biology and the complex regulation of immune response targeting solid tumors. Both of these problems require a systems approach based on the genomic analysis of tumor biopsies and model systems. In general our work is targeted to improve cancer diagnosis and enable either genotoxic or immune therapy based personalized cancer therapy.

Responsibilities and tasks
The current PhD applicant will work on the problem of how DNA repair pathway aberrations alter tumor targeted immune response. The project will require the bioinformatics analysis of next generation sequencing data of tumor biopsies, including whole genome, whole exome and RNAseq based transcriptome data.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a master's degree in engineering, physics, computer science or biology. Strong programming skills are a must.

Approval and Enrolment
