PhD Position in Immunology and Tumor Biology (Tubingen)

The Department of Molecular Medicine at Tübingen University offers a PhD position in the field of immunology or tumor biology. Specific aim of the PhD project will be the functional characterization of two novel inhibitor proteins of transcription factor NF-kappaB using various cellular and genetically engineered mouse models. Successful candidates will have strong backgrounds in molecular and cell biology, immunology or experience in working with transgenic mice.

The Department of Molecular Medicine is located at the Interfaculty Institute of Biochemistry and focuses on several projects at the interface of tumor biology, immunology and stem cell research. As an interfaculty institute, the group belongs the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Science. We provide an international, innovative, well-equipped and scientifically stimulating surrounding with multiple interactions to both of these faculties. The department is affiliated to the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) and embedded in several (inter)national research networks.
