The German Cancer Research Center is the largest biomedical research institution in Germany. With more than 2,700 employees, we operate an extensive scientific program in the field of cancer research.

 

The Division of Preventive Oncology is seeking a

 

Doctoral candidate

(Ref-No. 207/2015)

 

Description:

•Studies in the field of preventive oncology

•Collaboration in local, national and international consortia

•Literature reviews, participation in collecting, processing and analysing epidemiological data

•Preparation of publications

 

Your profile:

•Master level degree in a biomedical discipline

•Ideally: additional qualification in medical biometry or epidemiology

•Very good statistical skills

•Interest in clinical epidemiologic and public health research questions

•Enthusiasm for assessing the scientific literature, for preparation of reports and publications in international journals in English

•Enthusiasm for working in interdisciplinary, team-oriented research groups

•Very good command of written and spoken English

•Preferable: experience in statistical software (SAS, R)

 

The position is limited at first for 3 years.
