Postdoctoral Position -Cardiovascular and Vascular Biology : New York, NY, United States

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Lahouaria Hadri, Cardiovascular Research Center, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York City.

This postdoctoral position is available for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who will be expected to use genetically engineered mouse models to investigate the role of Ca2+ Cycling proteins in vascular diseases and examine effects on structure and function at the organ and cell level as well as intracellular signalling at the molecular level.
Qualified applicants should have expertise in a relevant biological subject in one or more of the following areas: molecular biology/cloning, cardiovascular biology and genetically engineered mouse models. The qualified applicant must possess a Ph.D. and should have a strong first-author publication(s).
- An ideal candidate should have a strong theoretical and practical background in molecular biology, cell biology and have experience with research techniques including primary cell culture, protein biochemistry, RNA/DNA work, immunoprecipitation and/or mouse models of human disease.
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative in troubleshooting experiments and performing data analysis
- A highly organized and detail-oriented scientist with written and oral communication skills.
– Present research findings to project teams and governance bodies and prepare technical reports.
