Postdoc (Heidelberg)

The Division of Preventive Oncology is seeking a<br>
Postdoc
(Ref-No. 241/2016)

Description:
•       Conceptual design, conduct and analysis of studies in the field of clinical epidemiology, especially in the field of early detection of cancer and cancer screening
•       Participation in local, national and international research consortia
•       Conducting of advanced statistical analyses
•       Supervision and advanced training of doctoral candidates
•       Possibilities for further scientific training and postdoctoral lecture qualification (German: Habilitation) are given

Your profile:
•       Above-average PhD level training in the field  of life sciences / medicine
•       Additional qualification or experience in epidemiology / biostatistics, preferably in clinical, epidemiology
•       Very good knowledge of epidemiologic analyses and methods
•       Substantial experience in working with statistical software (SAS, R)
•       Enthusiasm for working in interdisciplinary, team-oriented research groups
•       Very good command of English

The position is limited at first for 2 years, prolongation is possible. The position can in principle be part-time.
