The RoLi Lab at the Rowland Institute is currently accepting applications for two fully funded postdoctoral research positions:
1) Neuroengineering of optomechanical systems for whole brain neural imaging in freely behaving larval zebrafish.
2) Optogenetic dissection of neural circuitry for learning and memory in larval zebrafish
The ultimate goal of the RoLi lab is to identify, manipulate, and model the neural circuitry that underlies learning and memory in a vertebrate brain. Our lab develops imaging systems for recording and manipulating neural activity throughout the entire brain of an awake and freely behaving larval zebrafish. The RoLi lab is a part of the Rowland Institute, a unique research institute within Harvard University. The Rowland Institute fosters highly innovative multi-disciplinary research by a select group of young scientists. Application Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with a PhD or MD/PhD degree in the fields of systems or behavioral neuroscience, biophysics, bioengineering, or related field with a demonstrated record of achievements and publications. Candidate must be highly motivated to perform innovative projects that aims to fundamentally advance our understanding of large neural networks. The ideal candidate will have a publication record demonstrating talent in animal behavior, microscopy, and/or computational analysis of large scale data sets. Expertise with a programming language (i.e. MATLAB, Python, or C++) is required.
