The Department of Hematology/Oncology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe
University Medical School in Frankfurt/Main is offering a PhD position
in the field of cancer system biology/leukemia research.

The research of the group is focused on mechanisms that lead to the
development of acute leukemiaā€™s. We aim to gain a systems level
understanding of leukemia developement by integrating data from
different sources including clinical data, protein expression patterns
and genetic data from next generation sequencing (NGS) studies.

We are offering an exciting position in a team of international co-
workers consisting of clinicians and natural scientists. The successful
applicant will receive an initial 3-year appointment. The salary is
based on TV-GU E13 (65%).

We are looking for a candidate with a master degree in biology or
bioinformatics, strong computational skills and experience with
programming languages (e.g. Python and R), knowledge and experience in
the use of bioinformatics tools and databases, experience with the
analysis of omics data, proficiency in English and scientific writing
skills.
