The Department of Internal Medicine III of the University Hospital RWTH Aachen is recognized for excellence both in basic scientific research and in the clinical management of patients with hepatic conditions.

We are now seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals for doctoral studies in the area of acute and chronic liver injury.

We offer a Ph.D. position (biological science) in an open and international team.

Applications are welcome from candidates from trained in biological sciences with proficient knowledge of English language and background on molecular biology techniques. Specifically we will give preference to applications from candidates with knowledge of Western Blot, RNA and FACS-Analysis.

The position is initially limited to 31.01.2016, with the option for extension. The opportunity to receive a PhD is given.

The salary is based on the German public service salary scale (TV-L).
