Postdoctoral Position in B cell Mediated Antiviral Immunology

A full-time postdoctoral position in viral immunology is available in the laboratory of Dr. David Brooks at the University of California, Los Angeles. The laboratory is focused on understanding the mechanisms of viral pathogenesis and immunity that lead to effective virus clearance versus persistence. The current postdoctoral position is to explore the mechanisms of B cell immunity during acute and persistent virus infections.

Candidates should have a background in B cell biology, with training in cellular immunology, flow cytometry techniques and experience with mouse handling a plus. Candidates must be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and have the desire to work in a dynamic group. Excellent salary and benefits will be provided.

To qualify, the candidate must have a recent Ph.D or equivalent degree and MUST have at least one first-authored publication in an Immunology journal.
