The Institute for Biological and Medical Imaging (IBMI) and the Chair for Biological Imaging (CBI) are a multi-disciplinary academic and research structure integrated at the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the Helmholtz Zentrum München. With a strong international profile, support by public and private funding and having received several prestigious national and international awards, IBMI/CBI leads innovative imaging and sensing technologies, advances bio-medical discovery and translates novel sensing technologies to clinical applications.

We are now seeking for a highly qualified and motivated

Molecular Biologist

as a group leader or post-doctoral fellow, to work on an exciting project to study the mechanisms of immune cell trafficking.  We have unique capabilities that allow in vivo sensing and cell visualization that are poised to make major breakthroughs in the field of immunology.   We are particularly focused to compare existing cell labelling techniques with novel approaches, which can revolutionize the ability for biological discovery. The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in biology / biotechnology or related sciences and have a strong interest in pursuing an academic or research career.

Necessary skills include:
-       Cloning
-       Cell isolation and culture
-       Flow Cytometry
