Your project:
Dehalococcoides mccartyi strain CBDB1 is a model organism for respiratory dehalogenation, an anoxic process by which highly toxic halogenated substances can be transformed in the environment. Within this PhD project the successful candidate will investigate the composition of the respiratory complex, the interaction between the different subunits and how the complex couples electron transport to proton translocation across the membrane.
